What is the difference between the one-stage and two-stage implant processes, and which is better?

The one-stage implant process involves placing the implant and abutment in a single procedure, which can be particularly useful in the anterior (front) teeth where aesthetics and reduced treatment time are important. The two-stage process, however, is generally considered slightly better as it involves placing the implant first and allowing it to fully integrate with the bone before attaching the abutment and crown in a second procedure. This approach confirms the stability of the implant before proceeding, making it a preferred choice in more complex cases or when additional bone grafting is required.
