Family Dentistry

Every family should have a high-quality dentist with whom they can build a trusting relationship.

While our practice offers numerous dental services, gentle and thorough regular cleanings and check-ups are still at the foundation of our practice.

Family-Oriented Dentistry

Our team recognises the importance of providing the services families need and customising care for kids.

Our clinic is comfortable, and our hygienists, assistants and staff are friendly.

Outstanding Oral Hygiene

Regular cleanings and check-ups are a key component of any healthy preventive care routine. These allow us to give your teeth a thorough cleaning to remove the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth over the months.

By examining your teeth during your visit, we are able to screen for any issues that may be developing, such as tooth decay or gum disease. Instead of waiting until a problem is in advanced stages, we are able to identify issues early and avoid extensive treatment down the line.

We look forward to serving your entire family.

We recommend your child start seeing a dentist early to monitor their development. As children lose their baby teeth and grow new teeth, it’s important to check in and ensure the constant changes associated with a developing child’s teeth are occurring properly.

We also know how important your time is and will do everything we can to ensure that your regular visits begin on time and are completed efficiently.

Comprehensive Care

Hopefully, with proper oral hygiene care and regular cleanings and check-ups at our clinic, your teeth will be healthy and problem-free. However, if you do require additional care, we offer many types of treatment in-house. If you happen to require a service that our practice does not provide in-house, we can refer you to a qualified, local specialist to fulfil your needs.

We look forward to satisfying more patients each day. Call our surgery to arrange an appointment for you and your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

X-rays are one of a dentist's most important diagnostic tools. Often, problems start inside your teeth or beneath the gumline. By the time the problem is visible to the naked eye, it can be painful and more difficult to treat. Using x-rays taken on a regular basis, we can catch problems early and treat them quickly and comfortably.

Dental X-rays help in detecting issues that might not be visible during a regular dental examination, such as cavities between teeth, problems below the gum line, or infection/abscess in the jawbone.

Yes, maintaining oral health during pregnancy is crucial. However, it's essential to inform your dentist about your pregnancy so they can take necessary precautions and avoid specific treatments if required.

Nutrition is vital in holistic dentistry. A balanced diet can help prevent many dental issues and promote overall oral health.

It's recommended to schedule your child's first dental visit by their first birthday or when their first tooth appears, whichever comes first. This helps child to get familiarised with dental check-up. If you wait till, they have cavities or pain, they may develop life-long phobia and avoid Dentist. Prevention is best and most gentle way for children and would make their dental visit very fun and pleasant.

Dental tourism—travelling overseas for dental treatment—has become increasingly popular among Australians. With the promise of lower costs and a holiday rolled into one, it’s easy to see the appeal. But is saving money worth the potential risks?

Restore & Protect Your Smile With Occlusal Veneers

Tooth wear is a common concern that worsens with age and can be accelerated by factors such as bruxism (teeth grinding), acidic diets, and biomechanical stress. Left untreated, excessive tooth wear can affect chewing function, bite alignment, and even facial aesthetics.

At Mentone Family Dentist, we prioritise preserving natural tooth structure while restoring both function and aesthetics. Occlusal veneers offer a minimally invasive, long-term solution for patients experiencing significant tooth wear, helping to restore their smile without complex procedures.

What Is Occlusal Wear?
